This presentation will cover the basics of proper PPE, safety and zoonotic disease prevention for professionals. WCO's need to choose the proper equipment and know their limitations for the work they will be conducting. Gloves, respiratory protection, and other important PPE will be covered. Evaluating and mitigating risks associated with wildlife control will be covered. Prevention of heat stroke and exhaustion will be discussed. A few diseases of special concern will be covered including risks from ectoparasites.
