NWCOA brings its Reptile and Amphibian Course - Level 1 online to train WCOs working with reptiles and amphibians at homes and business. Upon completion of this course and successful passing of a test, the WCO will receive a certificate of completion.

This course provides information on reptiles and amphibians commonly managed by WCOs and is taught by expert herpetologists in the field. 

Topics related to Reptiles and Amphibians include:

• Identification
• Trapping
• Relocation
• Euthanasia
• Safety
• Regulations and Management Guidelines

Course manuals will be distributed electronically to all participants prior to the start date of the course. 

This course is the prerequisite to the Level 2 course offered in-person, and will include venomous snake handling & safety.
